    Angela Cerchio

Angela found yoga back in 2006 when she was facing some post surgery health issues, and she fell in love with not only the physical benefits of the practice, but the mental, emotional, and spiritual benefits as well. Most recently, in 2022, colleagues of Angela recommended her to try HOME Power Yoga for the incredible benefits of Baptiste Yoga, infrared heat, and the loving and supportive community. Angela immediately felt at HOME, and she became passionate about this practice that is accessible for every body, helps us to become more intune with our bodies, challenges us, and helps us to practice grace in our daily lives.

Angela graduated college with degrees in Psychology as well as Elementary Education. She has been an elementary school teacher for eighteen years, and she returned to school to receive her certification as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach as well as a mental health first aid responder. Angela RYT 200 trained under Katie and Liz at HOME Power Yoga, and she knew that teaching children’s yoga was a calling. She loves to help her students in the classroom and in the studio become their best selves, learning mindfulness, self-awareness, confidence, kindness, and how to be present.

Angela is honored to be part of the HOME Power community - a place that brings a sense of belonging, an appreciation for ourselves and others, and a place where we uplift each other to become instruments of peace and power in the world. A native of Cranford, Angela currently lives in Scotch Plains with her husband and two dogs. When she’s not teaching, you can find her cooking, baking, or spending time outdoors.
