Africa Yoga Project Hugs, Happiness and Handstand Tour
We at Home Power Yoga are about to host two incredible yoga teachers from Africa Yoga Project (AYP), coming all the way from Kenya! They will be teaching Afro Beats Yoga on 10/28 from 12-1, followed by light refreshments, an AYP documentary video and a raffle from 1-2pm.
Afro Beats Yoga is a combination of yoga poses with African music - uses traditional and modern African dances. Free to sign up with a suggested minimum donation of $15 at the door.
A key part of the AYP program are their outreach classes; bringing yoga into communities that otherwise wouldn’t have access. Some of these outreach classes include community centers in slums, children’s homes, prisons, women’s groups, and more.
The Africa Yoga Project (AYP) transforms the lives of marginalized youth by expanding employability in the growing health and well being sector, providing an opportunity for these individuals to become role models and community leaders. Representing 19 different African countries, AYP teachers reach as many as 6,000 people per week through free outreach classes, and bring positive and transformative messages to their communities.
As we host these two Kenyan instructors, we too want to share their shine with you and your community, especially though service. Click on the link below to reserve your space for this donation based class as space is limited.
If you are unable to attend the class, then please check out the link to the silent auction hosted on 32Auction or the Go Fund Me link that supports the AYP Hugs, Happiness, and Handstand Tour to donate.
